encryption:
Data and communication encryption is important. It is not tricky, complex or scary. It should be convenient and not annoying. My experiences with encryption are quite positive. It was easy to setup encrypted hard disks on my computers. I did this during the installation of the operating system. Only when booting I get reminded that I deal with encrypted data, since I have to type in a passphrase. Using encryption for communication like instant messaging and e-mail is unfortunately dependend on the communication partner, since both have to use encryption. But why unfortunately? Only because some people we communicate with do not care about encryption. So it is up to us to convince them how easy this task is. Encryption is important and can also be fun.
